The OPTISPEC ME5000 is a fully portable, hand held inspection instrument for viewing mounted or unmounted fiber optic connectors. By utilizing either our dovetail or multi-adapter turret interface, the ME5000 enables the user to inspect any connector style for imperfections on the fiber and ferrule such as scratches, chips, dirt, grime or moisture. The image is fully adjustable with fine focusing, both X and Y centering and light intensity may be increased or decreased while viewing the image. With its precision adjustments, the user may individualize the unit and create the most suitable clear and superb image quality according to ones eyesight and each connector. Designed, engineered and manufactured by Micro Enterprises, our choice of high quality optics, provide the best quality image of single and multi-mode polished fiber connectors. The ME5000 is equipped with quality glass optics offering a magnification range from 100X to 400X. Three optional wide field eyepieces (10X, 20X and Zoom lens) used with 20X objective provide an excellent range of magnification for inspection of fiber optics.
